Wheel Vibration (BETA)

v7 beta documentation in progress. v7 beta documentation may be incomplete or inaccurate.
v7 functions and features may be significantly different from previous ACS versions.
These instructions are not valid for current v6+ ACS!

Requires v7beta(B+) or newer

ACS v7 has an optional adjustment for vibrating visible scripted wheel prims while the vehicle is in motion.

Setup

You simply need to enable this in the Root Settings by setting the WheelVibration variable to TRUE. You can adjust the vibration amount by changing the VibrationLevel variable.

Things to know

  • Wheel vibration does not require the Reactive Suspension system to be installed. You can use both systems together.
  • You can use this with multi-prim wheels (separate wheels and rims) but the motion of the individual prims is not synchronized.
  • The default VibrationLevel value of 0.03 creates a fairly subtle effect. Increase this for more extreme effect.
  • Enabling either WheelVibration or installing Reactive Suspension (or both) adds a Suspension switch to the vehicle menu system. You can then disable the associated effects by accessing the + Suspns button in the vehicle's >Options, >Advanced, >Extras menu.
