GETTING UUID KEYS FOR SOUNDS OR TEXTURES

To get the UUID key for your texture or sound, right click it in your inventory and select Copy Asset UUID and then paste it into the notecard or script.

You must have full permissions on a texture or sound in your inventory to be able to copy the UUID key.

The UUID is a unique string of characters that refers directly to the asset (sound, texture, sculpt map, etc) stored on the LL central server, so by referring to it by UUID you can remotely access it via script without having to have a copy present. Having a copy present in inventory really is just a shortcut link directly to the UUID anyhow.

Animations cannot be called from remote by UUID in a script, they must be called by name and present in the prim.
