Flight Mode
  • Flight mode has its own optional stored prim configuration using the Prim Control system
  • Flight mode has its own optional custom animation.
  • Flight mode has its own optional custom sound.
  • To make prims (such as wheels) emit particles during flight mode, you can place a Flight Particles script inside any prim you want to emit particles.
  • The Flight Particles script is full permission so you can use your own particle routine or edit the existing one.
  • To re-create the Flight Mode style of earlier ACS releases, you would place a Flight Particles script in each wheel rim, and then record the wheels and rims as rotated the Prim Control system.

You can choose to disable the flight mode option in the vehicle at the top of the Root Settings script by setting FlightEnabled to FALSE:

integer         FlightEnabled = FALSE;

At the top of the Engine script you will see some values for customizing flight:

list List_Flightspeeds = [50,70,100,500]; // Flight Speeds/gears for flight mode. Add as many as you need. [30,50,75,100]
float P_FlUpDown = 35; // strength of up and down flight
float           P_FlTurn =          5; // strength of flight turn
integer         Flight_Bank =       30; //Amount of flight mode bank/angle
