Camera System
  • There are optional advanced camera scripts for the driver and passengers.
  • The Root Camera script provides the driver with both the FollowCam and SportCam modes. Each have individual menu-driven adjustment parameters. After adding the Root Camera script, a > Camera option will appear in the vehicle menu.
  • The Root Camera also stores three recorded camera settings, which can be recalled from the > Camera menu or the Driver HUD. The FollowCam mode is the style used in the older ACS versions, and the SportCam adds a very smooth camera style, similar to the camera in mouselook.
  • You can adjust the camera while seated, but it helps to be driving the vehicle to see the changes in camera position. Editing the SportCam settings requires you to remount the vehicle to see the adjustments.
  • The Passenger Cam script, when placed in a prim along with the Passenger Sit script, provides an adjustable FollowCam system for a seated passenger. When installed, it is added to the passenger menu the passenger can access by touching the passenger prim while seated on it.
  • Both Root Camera and Passenger Cam are optional. If you leave out the Root Camera system, there are basic camera settings the vehicle will use instead. You can edit these in the Engine Script starting around line 72. Similarly, the Passenger Sit script contains an editable basic camera routine starting around line 91 that it will use if no Passenger Cam script is present.
